Respite Care
Respite care can be provided in the client’s home (including socialisation, home and personal care) or outside of the home whereby the client can be taken out on either a social outing or to an required appointment. One of the primary purposes is to give the primary care givers a break but also ensure you can continue to enjoy the activities you love most.
Some may access respite care for the following purposes:
- companionship
- Reassurance by having someone around whilst primary carer goes out for a break
- Home and personal care duties can be included
- Transfer to an appointment
- Social outing
- Shopping trips
Respite care is individually discussed and will vary according to your needs and interests.
